The company’s name, CAP Immobilier, came from a deep reflection to take a more customer-focused and professional approach to CAP’s future.
In real estate, CAP is a term often used, and here are a few examples:
- Capital: This is the most important resource in real estate and for any investor.
- Cap rate is the capitalization rate used to determine the value of income properties.
- Capital gains: This is the primary source of government taxation on real estate.
- Staying the course: In real estate, goals are important! For us too.
What’s more, Sébastien Jean found a more sentimental link with the three letters of CAP. In fact, they represent the first letter of the first names of each of his three children: Catherine, Antoine and Philippe. You’ll understand that the company wants to treat its customers like members of the family, and help you take your real estate further by supporting you through the services it offers and the advice it can provide with the help of all its employees.

The company has been in the appraisal business for more than 25 years, mainly for projects in the Greater Montreal area, the Laurentians and Lanaudière. Specific evaluation mandates have also taken us to several major regions of Quebec, including Abitibi, Côte-nord, Gaspésie, Saguenay and Quebec City. The company has appraised properties of all types. Over the past 10 years, we have produced more than 50,000 real estate appraisals for our customers. That’s how active we’ve been and will continue to be in the years to come.
The company has only been known as CAP Immobilier since 2017, but we’re proud of the experience we’ve built up over the past 25 years. With our experience and knowledge of the Quebec market, we have identified a major real estate gap over the past decade. Indeed, property management is, in all likelihood, a service that has been forgotten by real estate experts. It is with great enthusiasm that we are now able to offer property management services thanks to CAP Immobilier – management division.
